Can Tiger Woods Help Market Your Business – A Conversation

Last week I made a post about the possibility of using this whole Tiger Woods story to help you market your business.  And as I expected, because it’s a pretty controversial topic, I received numerous responses and comments from both sides of the isle about the idea.

Why Your Landscaper Marketing Probably Isn’t Working

If you’re spending money on marketing, but you’re not seeing the returns you’re hoping for chances are it’s probably because you’re making one of the following deadly marketing mistakes:

  1. Not targeting your efforts. If you’re not spending some time trying to figure out who your ideal customer is, what they look like, where they live, what they do on the weekends, and if they have the money to purchase your products and services then you’re truly wasting money. Instead of the shotgun approach used by most of your competitors, start using a rifle with a laser sighted scope to deliver your marketing materials and watch your results skyrocket.

Best and Worst Commercials of the Year

Even though I’m not a big proponent of Madison Avenue style marketing for small businesses, it’s still fun sometimes to watch what these over-inflated budgets can come up with.  Some ads and commercials really do a good job of either conveying a brand’s message, telling a story, capturing your emotions, and every great once in a while motivating prospects to take action.  Other times, these commercials seriously miss the mark and are nothing but a waste of time, money, and suppossed creativity.

Avoiding the Gift Giving Dog House

I’ll start off by saying this has absolutely NOTHING to do with lawn care or landscape business marketing.  It’s just an video I found that #1 is pretty funny, but #2 gives the savvy small business marketer something to think about.
