The Crossroads of Marketing Success and Failure

Have you downloaded your copy of the recent business building reports yet? If not, be sure to grab your copies today while they’re still available.

Your Job Description MUST Change - Part 2

Okay, assuming you’ve downloaded the reports and have read them, then you know that marketig needs to be your #1 responsibility. But I’m not talking about willie-nillie marketing that most of your competition is doing. I’m talking about laser-targeted marketing that’s works like a samurai warrior defending his honor.

Now, the very first thing that needs to happen to make your marketing unbelievably effective is that you need to find a ‘farm’. A ‘farm’ is a list of highly targeted, exactly-like-your-existing-customer prospects that you’ll focus your marketing efforts on over a period of 12-18 months.

You see, most business have no clue who their target market is and as a result, they end up throwing their marketing around like their reseeding a lawn. No focus at all.

Put an end to this forever by understanding who your ideal prospects are, then create a ‘farm’ you can nurture and work with to grow your business.

However, don’t know who your ideal prospects are or don’t have a laser sharp focus with your marketing and you’ll end up wasting enough time, money, and effort to either drive you out of business or at least drive you bonkers.

Keep a close eye on the Lawn Care Marketing Magic Blog up until the launch on June 11th of the killer new green industry marketing program I’m creating.

  1. Figure out exactly what you are selling now
  2. Who is behind your business? What do the customers see? What do they think?
  3. Find out what the customers REALLY want
  4. Find your signature offer
  5. Simplify the number of choices
  6. Systems ARE the key to success
  7. Feet on the street marketing

Is It A Business Or Just A Hobby?

Well, I don’t know about you but I’m really looking forward to the upcoming long weekend.  And even though I’ll probably work through much of it, just knowing it’s a holiday weekend makes it seem so much more enjoyable.

Before I get to today’s short magical marketing message, if you haven’t already downloaded your copy of the ‘Your Questions Answered’ tele-seminar, you can grab your copy right here:

http://lawncaremarketingmagic.com/wordpress/2008/05/20/your-questions-answered-tele-seminar-recording/

Now, I’m releasing it as part of the foundation for a detailed, comprehensive program I’ll be releasing on June 11th.

In order to get the most out of this program, it’s extremely important for you to have a solid foundation of what makes for good marketing, so go grab your copy now.  It’s totally free and there’s no cost or obligation required to get it.

Also, if you missed my email earlier this week where I revealed a little about the upcoming program, I’ve reattached the entire email below this one.

Okay, as part of my ‘making sure we have a solid foundation in place’, I wanted to talk to you about your job description.  You see, as the owner of your business, you don’t have a more important responsibility than that of marketing your business.

Yep, that’s right.  You’re not in the lawn care/landscaping/irrigation/fertilization/etc. business, you’re in the business of marketing those services.

Think about it for a moment.  No matter what you do, if you don’t have customers, you don’t have money coming in which means you really don’t have a business.  You have a hobby.

So, your challenge for today is to examine your current job description.  Does it include marketing your business?  If it doesn’t, your job description MUST change.

I’m putting the finishing touches on a new report I’ll be sending you sometime over the weekend that dives into this subject a little deeper.  Hopefully by the time you finish reading it you’ll see exactly what I mean when I say ‘your job description MUST change.’

And don’t worry, you won’t have to do anything to get this report either.  It’ll be posted to this blog sometime over the weekend so be sure to keep your eyes open for it!

What Are You In Business For?

When you decided to go into business for yourself, did you have a clear picture of what you wanted out of your business?  Did you go into business to actually run a business or did you go into business to generate enough income so you could enjoy life on your terms?

If you think the answer’s the latter, but you feel like you’re stuck in the first, chances are you haven’t quite figured out exactly how you want your business to be.

In order to create the kind of business you want, you first need to know what exactly you want.  Once you have this clear picture in your mind, the process of actually designing and building the business you want is MUCH easier.
