A Little Known Secret to Improving Your Marketing Results

I’m taking a quick break from today’s NCAA men’s basketball tournament action and wanted to share one of many secrets to achieving above average results with your marketing efforts. In fact, this is the very first component you need to be concerned of with any marketing campaign you pursue.

Here’s the secret ingredient:

The most important aspect of any successful marketing campaign is selecting the right list. It doesn’t matter how good your offer and sales letter is if you’re sending it to the wrong market. It’s a bit like trying to sell ice to Eskimos. Good luck with that one.

If you want your marketing efforts to return better than average results, spend some time and maybe a little money to put together a very targeted list of prospects. If need be, cut the size of your list down and focus on quality, not quantity.

If you’ll do this, I’m pretty certain that at the end of the day you’ll achieve a fantastic ROI because you’ll get more responses. PLUS, your costs should be significantly less because you’ve mailed to fewer, but better targeted prospects.
